I am Vitalii Prisacari and I detangle matted hair in London. Each of these 27 qualifications was issued by an outside organisation, and you can check each one with the organisation that issued it. Training is what separates a safe matted hair removal from a haircut. What these qualifications change in practice is simple. Matted hair that other salons refuse is treated here as a technical problem with a method behind it, not as an emergency that ends in scissors. The trichology and hair science modules explain why the tangle formed, the health and safety and first aid units cover a client who is sitting in the chair for hours, and the extension and hair care training is what keeps the hair itself intact while the mat comes apart.

The short answer
I hold 27 qualifications for this work. Each one was issued by an outside organisation, and you can check it with them. The main one is the VTCT Skills Level 3 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing, Ofqual regulated, which includes the Level 4 unit Hair and Scalp Specialist Services. I also hold State Registration with the Hair Council, First Aid at Work and the Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, and I am a Mental Health First Aider with MHFA England. The rest are specialist certificates in matted hair work, scalp care, hygiene and client care, from 2020 onwards. Sessions are £100 an hour, in the Catford studio or as a home visit for a flat £200 surcharge.

A nationally regulated UK qualification, awarded on 30 April 2026 through Green Labyrinth - Kneads Training Academy. It includes the Level 4 unit Hair and Scalp Specialist Services (D/601/5344, 9 credits), which covers the scalp as well as the hair, alongside consultation, health and safety, cutting, colouring and styling. You can look the qualification up on the Ofqual register by its number, 600/1482/9.

I am on the state register of hairdressers kept by the Hair Council under the Hairdressers Registration Act 1964. My registration number is HC-950365, and you can check it with the Council. The registration is renewed every year.
