Vitalii is absolutely incredible. I had been suffering for a few weeks with very matted long curly hair after switching a hormonal medication, and extreme dryness and tangles after travelling for 2 months, and I honestly had no idea what to do until I found Matted. I was very nervous at first because of how tangled my hair was and because stylists often don’t know what to do with my curly hair, but Vitalii made me feel very much at ease from the start. His service was beyond amazing, and he was so incredibly kind, patient and communicative. He worked on my hair for 5-6 hours while I listened to music. I can’t recommend him enough! He is incredibly experienced, and you can tell from seeing the outcome of his work! If you’re nervous, trust the guy, everything will be okay. He really cares, and the end results are incredible. I traveled all the way from the Netherlands to the UK because my Afro hair had become severely matted. I was devastated. I had tried to fix it myself using different products, but instead of helping, they only made everything worse and practically glued the mats together. I felt hopeless and honestly didn’t know what to expect.

From the very first moment, Vitali treated me with nothing but kindness, patience, and respect. He immediately made me feel comfortable and never once made me feel judged or embarrassed. I trusted his recommendations from the start, and I am so incredibly happy that I did.

Since I was traveling from another country, I was a little nervous about how everything would work out. Vitali was incredibly helpful with recommendations and advice to make the trip as easy as possible. Everything worked out perfectly. So if you’re not from the UK, don’t let that stop you—just reach out to him. He’ll help you figure everything out, just like he did for me.

One piece of advice: send him clear photos and videos of your hair beforehand. Be completely honest about the condition it’s in. That way he’ll be able to assess your situation properly, give you realistic advice, and make the best plan for your appointment.

It took three full days to detangle my hair. Three days of incredible patience, skill, and dedication. Most people would have given up or told me to shave it all off. Vitali didn’t. He worked with so much care and professionalism and literally saved my hair.

Not only is he exceptionally talented, but he is also genuinely one of the kindest and sweetest people I have met in years. He is one of those rare, warm-hearted people who reminds you that there is still hope and genuine goodness in this crazy world. You can tell he truly cares about every single person who sits in his chair.

I also want to mention his lovely wife. She was so kind, welcoming, and supportive throughout the process. Together they create such a warm, safe, and comforting environment that makes an emotional experience so much easier.

To anyone struggling with mental health, depression, anxiety, or anything that has led to neglecting your hair: please don’t be ashamed. I know how heavy that shame can feel. I know how impossible it seems to ask for help. But I promise you, you will be treated with compassion, dignity, and understanding here. There is absolutely no judgment—only kindness.

Yes, Vitali is often fully booked. I had to wait three weeks for my appointment. But after everything I’ve experienced, I can honestly say that I would wait all over again. Every single day of waiting was worth it.

This is my first review, and I want it to be very thorough for future customers. It reflects my honest experience and opinion.

I booked my appointment for 9:00 am on the 7th of February, 2026. (Please note that you have to pay a £100 deposit pre-booking to secure your appointment. ) The specific house number or name wasn’t immediately clear on the listing, but this is provided after your booking is confirmed.

As a Muslim woman who wears a hijab, I was initially taken aback when Vitaliy answered the door as I have never shown my hair to a man, let alone a stranger. The gender of the stylist was not disclosed during the booking process or on the website. However, because my matted hair was so severe, I was getting desperate and decided to proceed. I took off my shoes and was led into a very clean, professional room filled with high-quality hair products and equipment.

Sitting in the chair and taking off my scarf for the first time in front of someone else felt awkward. Vitaliy is a true professional who focuses completely on the task at hand, so expect minimal small talk. The total process took between 6 to 8 hours (closer to 8). Despite my initial nerves, I felt incredibly comfortable. Vitaliy used all the right tools, and everything looked immaculate. I really appreciated that he took small breaks but continuously worked, standing behind my chair for nearly the full eight hours. I have never felt so appreciative of someone's determination in my life; thinking about his dedication still makes me emotional.

Before I arrived, I was fully prepared to hear that I would have to cut all my hair off. Instead, Vitaliy saved every single inch. He only cut away the dead ends to tidy it up, allowing me to keep my length. He also washed my hair, though he advised me to wash it again at home as a single wash after intense detangling doesn't remove everything. I am beyond grateful for the patience, professionalism, and care I received. I sat in that chair feeling completely defeated, desperate, depressed, and embarrassed, but I left feeling super confident and satisfied. I literally punched the air with joy when we finished because the end result far exceeded my expectations.

You can really tell that Vitaliy cares about his clients. To any fellow hijabis who might feel embarrassed or anxious about seeing a male stylist: Vitaliy's wife stays at home during the service, which brought me great peace of mind. He focuses entirely on getting the job done and never makes you feel uncomfortable. A few practical tips for future clients: the room can get quite warm, so he keeps the door half-open for airflow. Also, they have a very cute cat that may occasionally make an appearance, which is important to know if you have allergies.

I highly recommend this service to anyone struggling with severely matted or tangled hair. Booking with Vitaliy will be the best decision you ever make. Good luck to all future customers!

My hair had been severely matted for half a year. I asked every salon in my area if they could detangle it, and the answer was always the same - it's practically impossible, better to just cut it off.

Then I searched on Google and found this wonderful studio, and from the very first moments they gave me confidence. After reading the information on their website, I understood this was exactly what I needed.

I contacted them and we set a date. I had to wait 2 weeks, but the wait was absolutely worth it. I came with my newborn baby, just 12 weeks old.

The studio is private, lovely and safe. Vitalii and his wife were so kind to us - his wife even stayed with my baby whenever I needed her to!

I’m incredibly grateful for the service Vitalii provided today. He made me feel at ease and comfortable in his studio while patiently and expertly tending to my hair.
