Matted Hair Detangling Prices in London
I charge £100 per hour for matted hair detangling, at my studio in Catford, SE6. How many hours you need depends on the grade of matting, and the table below gives the hours and the price for each grade.
Deposit and Visits
A £100 deposit secures your booking and comes off the final total. A visit to your home, a hospital or a care home adds a flat £200 on top of the hourly rate.
How Do I Pay for Matted Hair Detangling?
You can pay online with the two buttons below. Both open Stripe's secure checkout, where you choose how to pay.
A free 10-minute assessment by phone, WhatsApp or video call. I tell you roughly how many hours the hair needs before you spend anything.
Paying it puts your name in my diary for the day we agree.
Settled at the end of the session. You pay for the hours the work actually took, at the same hourly rate.
The balance, one of your instalments, or a full session paid up front. You type the amount we agreed on the next page.

Paying by Cash, Revolut or Bank Transfer
Cash is fine at the studio in Catford or at your home visit.

Before You Pay
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes, as long as you tell me at least 24 hours before your appointment. I will then move you to another slot or refund the deposit in full. That much notice gives me time to offer your slot to someone else.
If you do not let me know and do not come, the deposit is not refunded. I turn other clients away for the time I hold for you.

What does the hourly rate include?
The hourly rate covers the time I spend working on your hair, from the first section to the last. All of the work is done by hand. I use my fingers, special tools, sprays and products, each only when the hair needs it.
The mat stays dry and nothing goes on it first. I start with my fingers, from the tips towards the roots, and a detangler goes on once a section has started to open.
I am Vitalii Prisacari, and I do every session myself. I hold the VTCT Skills Level 3 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing, and you can check all 27 of my qualifications.
Coming to the studio on Adenmore Road, Catford costs nothing extra.
Every session includes a written aftercare plan and follow-up support.
Is paying online safe?
Stripe handles the payment. Your card number, expiry date and security code go straight to Stripe. They are never stored on this website and I never see them.
The name, email address and phone number you give when you book are used only to arrange and carry out your appointment. Stripe receives them to process the payment, and I do not sell them or share them with anyone else. If you want your details removed from my records, email hello@matted.co.uk and I will delete them.
How long does it take to detangle matted hair?
Anything from 1 to 2 hours for Grade 1 tangles to 14 hours or more for Grade 5 full fusion. The longest case I have documented took 36 hours in total, with breaks. I give you my estimate in hours from a photo, and you book that many.

Monday to Saturday, 9am to 10pm. I usually reply within an hour. You can send the photo now, even late at night, and I will answer when I open.
